Uma pequena explicação que ele enviou:

Aqui estão algumas imagens do "Lommedalsbanen", um museu sobre trilhos de bitola de 660mm, localizado nos arredores de Oslo, na Noruega. Ele possui uma linha com 1600m de extensão e umas tantas locomotivas, incluindo as vaporosas, utilizadas em indústrias, mineração e até em pântanos. Algumas composições foram utilizadas também pelos militares. Os trilhos são modulares, com comprimentos e dormentes de tamanhos pré-definidos, da mesma forma que se faz nas maquetes.

Lommedalsbanen is a word made up from 3 parts: lomme dal bane. We
often make combined words like that. Lomme means pocket, both as on
your trousers and as a closed valley or a dead end. Dal means valley.
Lommedalen is the name of the valley. "Bane" means railway. So:
"Pocket Valley Railroad". Lommedalen is a very peaceful area just a
few km from the centre of Oslo. There are very few people living
there, and the nature is quite beautiful as you can see. There is a
river running through there, called "Lommedalselven". I challenge you
to figure out the norwegian word for "river".

"banen" is the definite form "the railway". "en bane" mean "a
railroad". Similarly, "en dal" "dalen" meaning "a valley" "the
valley". The scandinavian languages are rather unique in using a
suffix definite article like that. The gender of the word determine
which article and suffix is used, just like in German.
boy: "en gutt - gutten" girl: "ei jente - jenta" child: "et barn -
barnet". It is often not obvious which gender to use...

The moss is actually a kind of plant, and they accumulate in layers
several meters thick during a few thousand years. This dead moss is
kind of like earth, but has no nutrients so nothing grows in it. It
will however burn when it is dry. There used to be an industry of
digging up the dead moss and drying it and using it instead of coal or
firewood. The grain used for making whisky is smoked over a moss fire.
